Vieux Carrรฉ
Ah, I mean, who doesnโt love a Vieux Carrรฉ? This is in one of my personal favorites. Dude, I remember back in the day, always pronouncing it wrong when I first was introduced and tried to order it at a bar ๐ And honestly, I still hear two versions of it said (vyur-kaa-ray) and (vo-car-ey). But anyway, hereโs this historic, strong and stirred, fantastic New Orleans speciality:
VIEUX CARRร
1 oz Rye
1 oz Cognac
1 oz Sweet Vermouth
0.25 oz Bรฉnรฉdictine
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes Peychaudโs Bitters
Combine ingredients into a missing glass. Add ice and stir to chill. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
