Davy Jones's Locker


This is a current cocktail obsession of mine–and one I stumbled upon in Punch Magazine’s Winter Drinks book by Brad Farran–and it should be shared with the world. I love the profile of this and wintery-esque daiquri style cocktail (that apparently called to me to have over pebbled ice vs up (as originally written)). Though I think the pebbled ice helped slow me down with this one 😂 – it can be a quick sink to the bottom.

DAVY JONES’S LOCKER
2 oz Gold Rum
1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
0.5 oz Cinnamon Syrup
0.25 oz Fernet-Branca
0.25 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Combine all into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake to chill. Strain into a small wine glass or coupe. Garnish with lime wheel.
